Too Good To Go: Introducing the app to the U.S. Market
Before launching in the U.S. in late 2020, Too Good To Go was already wildly successful in 14 European countries. As the PR lead in charge of introducing the app - and the larger food waste issue - to American media and consumers, it was an honor to be a part of the official stateside launch and following national expansion. Needless to say, people are loving this concept:
Fast Company named us the winner in the app category in the 2021 World Changing Ideas award!
Then Drew Barrymore saw the news and raved about us
Just in time for Earth Day, CNN Business wrote about how our app helps fight climate change
Wired said it best: "But it's hard to complain. Rarely do I ever rave about a product to friends and family, yet I've been mentioning Too Good To Go to practically anyone who'll listen (I heard about it via word of mouth from a friend). It just feels—pardon the pun—too good to be true."

Knotel: The rise of flexible workspace. Global PR Results
I had the opportunity to be a part of Knotel’s incredible international expansion, and saw the rise of flexible workspace amidst some interesting times in the co-working sector.
Objective: to demonstrate why owners, customers & brokers should choose a flex model vs. a traditional CRE lease. Our value prop was clearly communicated around the world:
The New York Post featured our happy customer in their new workspace.
Commercial Observer wrote a cover story on us, supplemented by of my favorite quizzes to date: flex vs. coworking (spoiler: flex totally wins).
Bloomberg got the exclusive on our latest funding round, which bumped us into the unicorn club. Then The Telegraph, Cheddar, TechCrunch, CNBC, Fortune, Business Insider, Financial Times and more picked up the news. It was a total worldwide PR blitz.
Across the pond, we are fortunate enough to work with reputable owners (read: Estates Gazette), while steadily growing our London footprint with our sustainable business model (read: City AM). The Times’ Raconteur included our insights on what type of tech makes buildings smarter.
In Germany, news of our Frankfurt launch, our second German expansion city, hit newsstands in print in FAZ and Handelsblatt, and online in Thomas Daily, Property Magazine, Deal Magazin, Konii, Propercity Frankfurt and Immobilien Manager. In Berlin, this FAZ story had our team saying the phones were buzzing with broker calls.
Our Washington, D.C. expansion came with a glowing customer testimonial + articles in Commercial Observer, Washington Business Journal and Connect.
In Boston, we came in hot with an exclusive in Boston Business Journal, followed by coverage in Globe St, Boston Real Estate Times and more.
Coverage of our Amsterdam market launch ran the gamut from top CRE trades to business publications, including PropertyNL, Vastgoedjournaal, Vastgoedmarkt, Emerce and Kantoor.
After the initial news of our Dublin expansion was picked up by Estates Gazette and Property Week, our local spokesperson did an excellent interview with Newstalk Radio about upcoming Ireland plans.
FastCo. got the exclusive on the launch of our furniture subscription service, followed by another shout-out in Hunker.
I sat in our HQ’s cool podcast room while our CEO recorded an episode for the inaugural season of Business Casual by Morning Brew.
Travel, architecture/design and F&B
I kicked off my career working in hospitality PR, which then allowed me to branch out to the architecture/design and F&B industries.
My love of travel developed early (like, when I was 2 months old early), when I started taking annual trips to see my family in Taiwan, followed by studying abroad; a summer in Heredia, Costa Rica, a spring in Sevilla, Spain and a fall in Newcastle, Australia. I don’t know if I will ever get the chance to see every part of this amazing world (also aiming for the moon, quite literally) in this lifetime, though I am certainly trying.
Here is a collection of my favorite placements from my agency tenure. One of my coworkers recently referred to PR as “black magic” which is hilarious and accurate.
CNN listed Roof at Park South as one of NYC’s best rooftops.
EATER New York got a sneak peek of Sir Henri, Manhattan’s first penthouse speakeasy.
Well+Good rounded up the most amazing wellness resorts in Thailand.
Brides highlighted 137 Pillars Chiang Mai, as an eco-friendly honeymoon option (This is one of the most amazing resorts I’ve ever seen).
The Bloomberg TV crew and I flew around Manhattan in a Challenger 300 to talk all things private aviation.
SELF did a write-up about the benefits of Thai massage.
TODAY featured this awesome time lapse video of what goes into building the life-sized gingerbread house for the annual Great Wolf Snowland festivities (I can’t wait to visit a Great Wolf one day with my kids during the holidays - it’s pure magic!).
FastCo. Design profiled Ma Yansong when his firm started to make a splash and big name for itself in the U.S., especially after winning the coveted Lucas Museum project.
Sierra Magazine explained the importance of reef-safe sunscreen, and how Aqua-Aston Hospitality is leading the charge to ban the use of all harmful sunscreens (I now exclusively use reef-safe sunscreen, and refuse to use anything that contains oxybenzone).
Bloomberg Pursuits got the first-look on the opening of North America’s first superyacht marina in Miami.
Wallpaper* got the exclusive on Moonwalk, Ma Yansong’s dance on film collaboration with choreographer Shen Wei.
